BRUNO DI MARIO

My commitments to abstraction as well as the varied materials I use are the key factors in my work.

I often use wood and like to excavate its surface in order to create architectural passages and structural compositions, where forms, colours and space help me expand my visual horizon and creative power.

CURRENT WORK

I like to experiment in this minimal mode, rather than representing or imitating the visible or recognizable; by reducing the work to its abstract geometric essentials I have become more aware of the possibilities of creating new pictorial solutions through painting.

Bruno Di Mario is a Teacher of Art/Design and Photography in a Secondary School in Surrey.
